| Yes, I am back from my latest travels and heck no, I don't want to be....but I am busy looking at my hundreds of photos, putting the finishing touches on my travel journal, printing out the zines I made while traveling and looking at my beautiful flea market ephemera. Want to come over and hang out with me? |

| My wonderful husband found flea markets in all three countries and I scored! I owe him big time, especially for all the time he spend going through boxes of paper looking for things I would like... |

| I enjoyed seeing all the mail boxes around town too. The ones in Rome are usually covered in graffiti. |

| When I wasn't looking in boxes of ephemera I was looking UP a lot. Those ceilings! I really want some angels and saints painted on my ceilings here at home. |

| There is also a daily stamp market in Rome (with prints and books as well). So civilized ...I wonder why we don't have things like this in the USA? |

| And, aren't these little tin boxes perfect for storing stamps? Italian stamps I'd say. I have LOTS more to show you of you are interested so let me know in the comments. There is still Berlin and Strasbourg and the travel journal and zines -- but I don't know if you want to see it if you don't tell me. Now, I think I will go and play with paper. |

ReplyDeleteThe reason I'm late visiting is I had a flood in my basement due to the flash floods that ravaged the midwest this past week. Thankfully, after a day of sun and warm temps, the water is finally out of the basement, but the walls are still damp. I have bleached everything, and don't seem to have any mold. Now I hope the next round of rain isn't quite so bad.
OoooOoooo I wish I was glad to be home -- I am wishing I was still traveling. But thank you for the good wishes. And I am so sorry to hear about the rain and flooding. Hope you dry off very soon.

And WOW!what a great husband finding those fleas and going through ephemera for you! Does he play with gluesticks and stamps as well?
Pamela, do you two go on these trips with a tour guide or plan your own out? My dream trip is Italy someday,so this is why I ask.
I have a beautiful day and I will wait patiently for your next post...(although,the next 2 weeks I will be internet free,while camping in the north)

Thank you, Jackie -- such nice comments. So nice of you. We have traveled together for many years -- just the two of us! No tours or guides.....my husband is a terrific travel planner. Italy is wonderful and I sure hope you do visit it one day and soon. I've been three times and hope for more. I love Venice especially (but in off-season). Have fun on your camping trip. -- Pamela
