I love old dictionaries, especially French ones. |
I buy them to cut up for mailart and collage but often I can't bring myself to do it. |
Cursive writing chart. The French take their penmanship very seriously. |
The illustrations are wonderful. |
More Words These are in French Mais oui |
I would have trouble cutting these up too, but at the same time, people get to see the images then.
ReplyDeleteChristine, I have managed to find quite a few of them so I have cut one up and had fun using the pages for various projects.
ReplyDeleteI just reponded the postcard you sent me. I used a brown card, so I hope that work for the post office with all their marking they put on stuff.
ReplyDeleteI had six years of French, and two exams, and the only thing I remember is how to say "The sink is broken, please fix it." Ha!
ReplyDeleteI can say "There is parking in back" and "It doesn't work".....very helpful when traveling....also oui and oohlala....that gets me further....
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I have an older Petit Larousse and Bon Usage. It is tough to cut one but I know I "must."
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to go to France & rummage around in search of goodies like this...
ReplyDeleteLove the dictionaries, thanks for sharing.
