| I love it when my friends come over to my studio and play. And I really love it when they arrive with show-and-tell. Just look at these wonderful FAT and happy altered books. I couldn't want to get my hands on them -- want to see inside? |

| This is her RED book -- and it is charmingly small -- just about postcard size. And I gave her the vintage red roses to include inside.....I'm just saying... |

| And here is Margarete herself.....I didn't make her work the whole afternoon.....I had some show and tell too and we we walked down the street for lunch. The day flew by! That's what happens with art and friends. Please let her know I sent you if you visit her blog and/or YouTube videos, OK? It's nice to pass the word about artist friends and I now you (out there in cyberspace) told me you wanted to see more tutorials so here you go! These remind me of my scrappy journals I create, only mine are sewn by machine, not hand. They are also bound in a cloth cover, not hard bound. I DO love the pieces she created and I adore the postal one. It gives me many ideas, too.

Thank you, Elizabeth -- it is wonderful to spend time with another artist. So inspiring and I love seeing what others make. And since I work alone for hours it is always fun to spend a day hanging out with a pal.
DeleteSO much fun, Pamela! :-) We really did have a lovely day all around; even the weather cooperated. Your mail art journal is spectacular. It's so much fun to flip through those pages. It's jammed packed with so many interesting things to see. It's funny that in the beginning you weren't so excited with how it was turning out, and then it came together as you were working on it a bit. I would have been bummed if you were disappointed with it. I'm glad it worked out :-)

Margarete -- I stuck with my mail art journal and now I am loving it. I want to try again but may send up an SOS to you if I forget how to do it. Oh -- I can look at your tutorial. I am glad you liked my books too. I'd like to see all those photos you took - but I guess I can just look at the books themselves....I am looking forward to seeing what you make from that book/paper from Scrap. You are most welcome to come back any time.

DeleteSo many great ideas! My head is spinning! It is great to have time to create with like-minded individuals, isn't it? In fact, I have a play day with two art buddies today to work on nature print postcards and whatever else we might think of. I can see I'm going to need to allot some time to watching all of Margarete's videos. Lots of great info!
