Mail Received

Mail Art
I am often asked what do I do with all the wonderful mail I get....
Good question.
I am always trying to think up things to do with it.
Here is some of my favorite mail art displayed on my bookshelves.
Maybe some of you will recognize things you've sent to me here....

A lovely mail artist named Alice S. is represented -- a stack of her mail art
zines on the left and a red post box on the right...

A couple of my favorite postcards compliments of SW and KC sitting on a shelf -- we all love doorbells.

Books and books of postcards...
Jennie Hinchcliff from Red Letter Day gave me the idea of buying old photo albums
with clear plastic sleeves from the thrift shop and filling them with
postcards -- great idea!

Here are some of the pages....

and a few more.....
This is really a great way to store postcards received and it is very fun to sit with a book and flip through the pages for inspiration.

And then we have the MAIL ART SHOPPING CART!
Now don't you wish you had one of these all filled up with terrific mail?
Packages on the bottom....
I don't know what I will do when I fill this cart all up...start a gallery maybe?

(My husband says this cart has GOT to go!)

CAPPUCCINO
I need a coffee break break after all this......
More postcards to browse through.....

OUTGOING
Besides stacking up piles of mail, I have been busy making envelopes.....

OUTGOING TO Cecelia

OUTGOING TO Tallie

OUTGOING to Jon
(Vintage Chinese paper envelope and a thank you for the Trip to China zine )

OUTGOING Postcards

Happy Mail and Happy May Day!
Keep those cards and letters and zines coming! Much appreciated.

  1. Yummy! If I had a shopping cart full of mail..... I would put my Pjs on, pour a BIG cup of coffee, and tear into it- not getting up until I'd read through it twice. Pamela, you have some darn GOOD MAIL! Oh, I like the photo album idea- gonna copy that.

    1. Thanks, Susannia -- happy to hear you enjoyed the flea market in NYC. I think we need a mail art museum for all our mail. Thanks for the comment. Next time come to San Francisco!
